How to Create an Effective Capture Page

Creating an effective capture page is key to your success when building your list and obtaining subscribers to your newsletter, ecourse or any other kind of list. However, it cannot always be obvious how to create an effective capture page.

Here are 7 ways you can make that possible.

1. Make sure your capture page is really a capture page. Too often people attempt to include too much information and a lot of other links to other pages or sites. This is distracting and makes it so that your page is no longer a capture page. Keep the focus on what you wrote it for in the first place

2. Include some images but don’t overdo it. A picture of you is always a good idea and maybe a few other smaller images.

3. Include some audio or video if relevant but avoid auto-start. It is always annoying when you land on a page and someone starts talking automatically.

4. Make sure it is very clear to your visitors what you are offering. Why should they opt in to your list? Make sure this is obvious to them.

5. Ask for feedback from several people before you do any extensive marketing of your new capture page.

6. Make sure to include an offer on the Thank You page. This is the most unused part of many capture pages and websites.

7. Make sure you actually deliver what you say you will in your emails.

2.Get a ‘baby gator’ server from Host Gator.com.

3.Change the DNS servers for your domain name at Godaddy. Call Godaddy with the server information you get from Host Gator and Godaddy.com will do it for you.

4.Get an Aweber.com account, your autoresponder where you will build and have control over your OWN Golden List.
